Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT):
Introducing Collagen Induction Therapy – the most powerful technology in skin rejuvenation. Pesky crows feet? Horrible “11’s” as they call them? What about those acne scars from when you were younger? It’s everyone’s dream to have perfect skin. Unfortunately, even if you were blessed with perfect skin, the earth’s elements and the natural aging process break down the collagen and elastin that once made you look so youthful.
Thinking about Botox or fillers? Think again! Collagen Induction Therapy works to repair lines, wrinkles, acne scars, hyper pigmentation, and uneven skin texture with results lasting as long as 18 months! A minimally invasive and non-ablative treatment, CIT results in significantly quicker collagen production compared to the more aggressive treatments.
Curious to know how it works? The CIT experience begins with a numbing cream that is applied, which takes approximately 20 minutes to take effect. While most clients only rate their discomfort at a 2 or 3 out of 10 at most, this cream allows for a minimal amount of discomfort during the entire treatment. Once the numbing cream has been activated, the skin is thoroughly treated on each area three times, with emphasis on areas of concern. We use the medical grade Rejuvapen with nine precisely spaced micro needles in a small cartridge to create invisible, vertical, micro-perforations into the epidermis and top layer of the dermis. The result? A major boost in collagen and elastin using the skin’s natural process of renewal to create smoother, glowing skin.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How many treatments will I need?
Four to six treatments is the ideal amount to achieve the best results of a specific area. Each treatment is done four weeks apart with a microdermabrasion or peel scheduled between each CIT treatment. Our qualified and talented therapists will discuss with you to determine which is best for your skin type.
When will I see results?
You know those before and after pictures that you always question if it’s truly the same person with such incredible results? Well, you’ll have mind-blowing before and after pictures of your own! While the results are gradual due to collagen reproduction occurring over time, you will see a definite improvement in elasticity, texture, and tone. Best results will be seen after the full six treatments.
Is CIT Right For Me?
There are a few things to be aware of before rececing a CIT treatment. Be aware that CIT:
- Should not be performed within 2 weeks of having an injectable dermal filler or botox
- Never performed on raised moles, warts or lesions
- Never performed during pregnancy
- Not performed when using certain prescription medications (Please speak with a therapist about any prescription concerns)
- Not performed during active herpes or acne breakout. However, once resolved the treatment can go ahead after two weeks
If you have any questions at all, please feel free to schedule a complimentary consultation with our therapists.
The side effects are minimal and short lived. You may experience slight swelling, the feeling of being “sunburned”, and possible peeling
Because of the micro needles, is there any risk of infection from CIT?
The micro-channels created during the treatment close within minutes of performing CIT. Therefore, post-op infections are extremely unlikely. However, to ensure the correct healing environment, we strongly recommend not using glycol acid, acidic skincare, or any other skin care product other than what we provide you with for a full 48 hours.
What is the down time after a CIT treatment?
Any inflammation you may experience after your treatment is short lived and fades significantly within hours. You may still see a pinkish hue that can last from 12 to 48 hours on average.
